As I mentioned in the last ARCLight newsletter, the ARC website is being updated in Q1 2014. The release of the changes to the website will start with the move to WordPress and incorporate responsive design to allow for the site to effectively be used on smart phones, tablets, or desktop/laptop computers. It is planned that this new design will be released by January 31st.

Included in this January release will be the continuation of the job board plus the addition of a membership directory exclusively for ARC member use. Other features that will be updated include the newsletter landing page and the Golden ARC Award landing page.

The next two parts of the website update program involve integrating landing pages for online membership sign-up/ renewals and online conference signup/payment. These landing page will help reduce the need to print out and send paper membership or conference signup forms.

It is expected membership and conference signup elements will be launched in March of 2014. The reason for these being released separately is because of the need to insure the transaction processing and the business rules for each are tested as needed to support ARC.
