We are re-energizing the Agricultural Relations Council. We’ve already exceeded our 2012 goal of 100 members.  Today, we sit at 108 members strong.  Just a few short years ago we barely had 25 members.  We have a new Hall of Fame award, a revamped Golden ARC PR Awards Program, a new logo and even a revised set of bylaws. Now we are looking for people to join us in this endeavor, but we are also looking for people who share our passion for agriculture and who speak the common language of agricultural communicators.

ARC is a national association, organized in 1953, of public relations professionals working in agriculture, food, fiber, renewable ag-based fuels and related industries. ARC is the only organization with its sole focus being agricultural public relations work. ARC provides a medium for the exchange of ideas, professional development, and a closer working relationship among those involved in public relations in the food and fiber industry.

Membership in ARC provides the opportunity to learn about the food and fiber industry, public relations strategies and winning tactics. Membership benefits include an annual meeting, seminars and workshops, our new awards program, networking opportunities and events at allied organization meeting.

Membership in ARC is a tangible way to support your mission as an agricultural public relations professional by recharging your creative batteries and picking up some new tools. We have a few other items in the works as well…for starters a couple of additional membership options.

For companies who want multiple employees to join ARC, we have developed a laddered membership offer that will provide a significant cost savings. The laddered membership program works like this:
Member #1 -- $175
Member #2 -- $100
Member #3 and beyond -- $75 each

We believe so much in the mission and focus of this organization we have also built in an incentive plan for members to recruit other members.  This plan will provide the following benefits to members:
· Personally recruit 3 to 4 members in 2013 and your 2014 membership dues are reduced 50% or $85.
· Personally recruit 5 or more members in 2013 and not only do you get your 2014 membership for free, your name is also entered in a drawing for a free registration to the 2014 annual meeting.
